Incredible footage here which I've never seen before.

Can't work out whether old TV cameras didn't fare well on the dark, the floodlights were rubbish, or both.

    Thanks for posting this.
That was my first season of watching the Reds, and I still say that game was the best atmosphere of any I ever went to at Oakwell.
It still sends a shiver down my spine when I see something like this.

Great night to end a great season. Crikey it seems a long, long time ago. Fantastic memories of that era….

Some happy memories there.Unusually I recall that Clark announced he was releasing John Saunders at the end of the season yet the pro he was played and also scored that night.

    Fantastic!!
Thanks for sharing - brings back so many memories.
My Grandad had a heart attack at that match and was taken to hospital.
Went to see him (after the match!) and the first thing he said to me was, "Wot wuh scooer ****?"
Priorities - his own health or the BFC result? Go figure!

Then we struggled for centre halves at the start of the following season after Hunter got injured .
Alan Little at centre half home versus Weds , no wonder we lost 3 - 0 .

I was in the middle of the old Brewery Stand, the noise in there was unreal.

Thanks for that brilliant memories - that was my second game at Oakwell. Sat in the upper West Stand with my grandad. Anyone ever catch one of those balls they kicked into the crowd? :)

It was the first time I'd ever seen a big crowd at Oakwell. It was a bit surreal at the time but something we got used to in the coming seasons.

Unlike others, it seems such a short time since that brilliant night.

    What a night!
    What a season!
And what an era too! Hard to believe it was 45 years ago. And i can remember so much. Ask me what I ate yesterday and I'm struggling.
