It used to much simpler (and most would say fairer) to chuck all the balls in one bag and let two people pick them out...

So the Champions League and Europa League get priority, but not the EFL Trophy. Big clubs, eh! ;)

    Wtf
The main draw will be conducted following the conclusion of the game at the City Ground – also live on Sky Sports. The first six ties will be drawn by alternating between one Club from Bowl 1 and one Club from Bowl 2, with the Home/Away positioning of the Club from Bowl 1 already pre-determined in the earlier draw.

Make em play away in bowl one at least. It's taking the pi55. .

Time to do away with it all if you ask me.

I'd merge it with the EFL trophy. It's pointless anyway - big clubs don't care, and anyone lower down the pyramid in a promotion/relegation race don't either.

I'd get rid of the two midweek cup comps and have more teams promoted and relegated between the divisions. Extra drama and jeopardy.

Keep the Play-Offs but ditch two legged Semi. Have them at neutral grounds to get more fans there.

I reckon for the 2nd half of the season, we should do a reverse grid, BTCC style. So the table gets flipped after boxing day. That'd make things more interesting.

Totally agree. Could call it it the National Grid.

Bring it back I say. Far more simple and if the bigger clubs draw each other great.
