    Barnsley FC Women are set to take on local rivals Barnsley Women’s FC in an eagerly anticipated cup fixture on Wednesday 28th August at Oakwell, kicking off at 7:45pm.

    Tickets are priced at just £3 for adults, making it an affordable night out for the whole family. Entry is just £1 for under 18s, so bring the kids along to enjoy the match under the lights at Oakwell.

    Additionally, parking is free in the South Stand car park on the night.

    Barnsley FC Women’s Head Coach, Jess Horsley said: “This fixture comes with a lot of anticipation and I'm sure will be a passionate affair, making it entertaining for all fans in attendance. It is the biggest local derby the team has been involved in for four years and is a massive occasion for all involved.

    "To be able to have the game on the main pitch at Oakwell, a great event for the town and we look forward to seeing as many people come down to the stadium on Wednesday night. For those who have never watched the team before, this is the perfect opportunity to come and see us in action."

    It was the FA who moved Womens FC, into the Midland Division (still at the same level) because they were the southernmost team in the North Division which was overpopulated.
    Happens routinely in mens' non league football as well as the lower tiers of the womens' game.

    I’ve just tried to buy 2 “free season ticket” tickets for the game - it wo t let me but will if I pay the £3 & £1 for the 2 adult & u19 tickets.
