Same. Bugs the hell out of me. Hes decent on the ball but should be nowhere near our own penalty box. It really frustrates me when he loses the ball he just pitifully jogs back without a care in the world. People just run past him like he isn't there. Needs to stay further up and do what Neil Warnock told to his QPR players - if you pass to Taarabt in our own half you'll get fined, haha
I'm not sure that's true. We were managing the game quite comfortably until the lengthy injury delay, and the goal pretty much out of nothing.
And De Givigney's far worse than the lot of them. That's at least six goals or clear goalscoring opportunities he's gifted in four games (3L1-1CC) so far. Two clean sheets in over 30 games now and there's one truly awful constant. Simply not good enough.
Am I missing something here? What huge mistake did he make today? Genuine question as I was watching a crap stream. If its the first goal, he got completely left on his own 2v1
I thought he was very poor for the first goal. Caught in 2 minds. Chose the worst possible option as he usually does.
There are mistakes in all our defenders, and MDG was no worse than any of them today. Though I thought Earl wasn't too bad. But if he's the worst of the lot, including most of last season, how come he nearly ended up player of the season last year, based upon a game by game assessment on Jimmy Viz's column on here? MDG, despite the worst debut in footballing history, keeps geting picked. Today, for example, before Pines. He hasn't been as good so far this season as last, however. Tell me one of our players who has been.
He's supposed to mark two attackers and make sure neither of them do anything much in particular. You will find that John Stones was faced with exactly the same predicament at Wembley. Sometimes a goal results by virtue of good attacking play. It did today. Meanwhile it's been a bit quiet on the real reason why we lost 3 points. Have we all been ga ga gagged?
I've been impressed with Slonina mate. But no question he made a huge error there. Looking for the foul was laughable too, he did nowt but basically punch their attacker with 2 hands, he was miles off it.
I'm not overly impressed with the keeper - he made a fantastic save at Lincoln and he's quick out of his box a la sweeper Brad, but he's weak at crosses and his punching out is feeble. His kicking is of this league. If their second goal today is anything to go by, we're in deep trouble. I'm praying that he mistimed it.
It's a bit rich to be blaming the Coach at this stage bearing in mind the amateur way in which the Club is run - on and off the pitch. Nothing that happened today, for good or ill, has changed that long term prognosis.
Earl looked better than he has recently. Thought Roberts was OK. I'm sorry but I'm not in the Pines fan club at all. Nice guy, nice smile, great personality, all-American boy, absolute athlete. But EFL defender? Sorry. Tin hat on.
Again disjointed. After the half time sub we have MDG, Roberts, Earl, Cotter all playing out of their natural positions.
We had a better team...... Slightly. Blame lies entirely with the board, we are into another season weaker than the one before. How many failures do we need to see from this lot? 100% Clarke will take the fall again just like Collins before him but it goes beyond the Head Coach.
The manager can only p**s with the pr**k he was born with. Too many deficiencies in the squad. 1 left back in the squad, other than Earl, who is a centre half, there's nobody else in the squad to cover this position. Yes, Lofthouse can play there if needed, but he's not a left back/left wing back. We have many options in midfield, but all the players are much of a likeness. We don't have a player from midfield that can break the lines and get us on the front foot. We have no natural wide players that can play in the final third. Hence why the head coach is trying to shoe horn players into positions that they're not comfortable in, as he has no other options. Unless the board address these deficiencies, then we're in for a very bumpy ride this season. This week is pivitol in our season.
