Went in today and ordered a pint of Carling. Got charged £6.50. I questioned this asking if she ( the server) had got mixed up with Madri. She said no and just tapped the card reader as much to say just get on with paying. My first and last visit there. How can it be £1 a pint dearer than the concourse?

I’m still eating for a £24 refund for the boxing. BFC communications channels shut down.

For the pleasure of being open to the elements and drinking in a single use plastic cup.

The prices in general are shocking. Refuse to spend a penny there. Got into the habit of buying food and few drinks each game last season but feel like there taking the p*** now.

I don’t usually bother, but I got there a few minutes earlier than usual and thought I’d have a pint. I know it’s expensive but I only have 1 so not too bad. However, I think I was either charged wrong, or it is £1 a pint dearer in the fanzone than the concourse. Won’t happen again.

Just noticed them packing up, we know the fan zone is pathetic compared to other clubs and obviously the prices have gone up both in and outside the ground, they don’t get it do they ? Given the other thread about queues, we’ll probably never get a real fan zone as folk hopefully stop buying they get the message. It’s a shame cos in the Ponty the offering generally has been better( it’s shocking in the East flat breads or not).

on altogether different points we know we no longer have electronic advertising and I know they are marmite but going back isn’t really progressive is it? The perimeter hoardings especially along the East need to be read with binoculars.

where are the flags ? Not the small flag bearers ones the large ones we used to have at the Ponty end ?

outside the clubs control wonder why the road wasn’t closed under the flyover yesterday? There doesn’t seem to be any urgency to address the shortsighted planning around crossing from the bridge( which already looks tatty), there was talk of a reconfiguration of the junction, is this still planned ? Or do we wait till someone is seriously hurt ?

To the usual few that day another pop at the club, you bet your bottom dollar it is ! How long do we regress before the rose tinted glasses come off ?

They were so tall they hid the touchline for the first quite a few rows. We had the one match where a vast portion of the pitch was hidden away and people had to move seats. They were distracting when trying to watch the game and I guess the same for players too. They were always breaking down especially at the Ponty end. They looked an accident waiting to happen if someone went in to one. I guess they would have been quite expensive to run as well.

Them being removed I agree with and think we've much more pressing issues.

Yeah get all that and I was on the fence with them but they appear at other grounds no issues, maybe the track level to the bottom rows don’t make them plausible unless there are smaller ones.
At least we’ve got the 24” portable scoreboard for advertising.

Well it came through a carling tap, and I wasn’t advised it was anything other than Carling. More to the point it tasted like Carling and certainly not Madri

There is a new fan zone coming Juddy G
Its part of the stadium capex project that will upgrade parts of the stadium. Its with the architect/quantity surveyor at the moment but will need planning permission once the design etc is complete so it will take a little bit of time before its up and running.

Maybe, I don’t know as it was my first visit to the fan zone. As I said previously, I asked for Carling, it came through a Carling tap, and it tasted like Carling. They also had a Madri tap even though there was one of them portable ‘bottom fillers’ at the side of the beer kiosk. I questioned her about the price and she responded by tapping the card reader. Wish I’d just walked off now leaving the pint on the counter

That'll be next week if the club has their way. They don't give a **** about the customers and are so far out of touch with reality
