[BFCST] Trust representation on Fan Advisory Board

Is there a danger of stuff getting lost ? This is the 3rs post about it now.
Not that issues are improving you only have to watch Tykes TV for issues like the meet the players etc
It’s good that they are regular the. We’ll be able to judge them if there’s any movement.

mid hope the club publishes minutes for all to see on the website but then won’t hold my breath given how poor that’s gone.

wonder if Whitey had to sign an NDA that’s why he’s not commented since he left? If he did that tells us that there are big issues.

 

If any of us were on the lookout for a new role would we be discussing our previous role in the public domain? Regardless of any 'agreements' it would hardly be a good look to prospective new employers.

Yeah possibly but very convenient for the club.
As a paying customer I’m interested in what they are wanting to hide.

Does anybody know of there are plans to replaced the lads who've left from the media side? Tells its own story if not.

 

I'd seriously love the current Board step back and let you and one or two others have total control of the club for a couple of years. It would be hilarious.

 

No-one on here is suggesting they could run a football club. The people in charge of our football club are running one, and are making a total bòllocks of it - there are numerous areas on and off the pitch that have needed improving for ages, the owners have known this for ages, and seemingly aren't doing anything/enough about it. I'm not sure shooting down any criticism of them with (paraphrased) "you couldnt do any better" helps.

 

The club appear to be having a complete overall behind the scenes.From DOF,CEO,photography ,comms etc.Its quite possible theres been cross over issues which will iron them selves out in time.
Reading the BBS and other message boards Twitter feeds etc the main issue is not signing more strikers.Once transfer deals are complete I believe the behind the scenes issues will be of less importance and people can get back to slagging the signings off and debating who we should have signed instead.
None of this is new though ,remember Speedy with his on pitch demo against John Denis with his "Sack the board "flag.I'm not 100% sure but didn't we get into the premiership within the next 2 seasons?.
I've seen the name Luke Goddard mentioned again on social media.The same man who when interviewed lost all credibility when venting a foul mouth tirade against the club.The same man who claimed he had financial people behind him to buy the club and then declined a meeting with BFC.
It might be fun and games at the moment but nothing different to whats happened in the past.

 

There are areas that need improving. Most definitely. There are things in place like the fans advisory group that are meant to address some of those issues. I don't think the same people shooting the club down on every single issue, made up or otherwise helps either. Do you?
As for making a total ******** of it. Our historic league position on average out of 92 is in the low forties and the bulk of that data comes from a time when the financial playing field was far less skewed against us than currently.
We're slightly below that average at the moment. I'm not sure that's making a total ******** of it. I'd like to see it improve. But to do so to any significant degree will take more money than our current Board are willing to spend.

 

Oh, and p.s, there are people who come on here every day who have no knowledge whatsoever of club finances, transfer targets, transfer negotiations etc etc who delight in accusing the club of incompetence or inactivity or worse. Clearly they think they DO have the ability to run the club better.

 

Or we could just bury our heads in the sand and think alls rosy in the garden like the happy clappers?

He did but he also suggested we can’t moan unless we stump up cash and try and do a better job.

 

Some of the attention to detail stuff is just basic and a lack of focus and tbf is/are recurring issues that they have previously acknowledged in fans forums and said they'd look at them, why they keep happening I don't know.
Not winning games of football at home isn't helping one bit either

 

Yes you can moan, nobody is stopping you. But by the same token the 'happy clappers' have the same right to THEIR opinions. They have as much right to disagree with you as you are to disagree with them.
Frankly I'm fed up of the lot of you, perpetual moaners and perpetual happy clappers alike. I'll moan when I don't like summat and I'll praise when I do.

 

I despair at some of the replies I’ve seen to this on Facebook. You have given people the opportunity to contact the club with their questions and grievances, but many don’t really want answers, they’re too comfortable criticising the club at every opportunity. It’s almost as if it’s all they’ve got in their lives.

I replied to one bloke, suggesting he should contact the club with his suggestion for who should buy the club ( he wanted the owners out) , and found today the posts had disappeared.

It’s so easy to idly spread bile and conspiracy theories on social media. Some people seem genuinely confused by being offered a voice.

 

I struggle to listen to him to be honest. Comes across as dour. I much prefer Red all over, much more polished and a bit more humour in evidence.
