    Anyone like to guess what will be the Barnsley headlines on end of transfer window
    1. 'Reds fail in last ditch effort to bring in striker'

    We first identified xxxxxx yyyyyyyy towards the end of last season as a top priority signing for the club. We look forward to him joining DC and the team on recovery from his broken back. This does however give the club time to request a work permit.

    As often is the case on deadline day, we'll sign about 3, lose nobody important, and send a couple of fringe players out on loan.

    The important thing is that the 3 we sign are the players we need. Clarke has said he'd like a couple of centre forwards and a forward who can play out wide. I personally would like to see another centre half, as the main concern for me is still that we look weak defensively.
