    Fantastic draw. Never thought I'd see us play there, really hope they do what they've done in some cup games and give us 9k. Brilliant stuff.

    They explained it. Because of the scheduling of european games if those teams were drawn against each other there potentially couldn’t be a time the game could be played within the window of this round

    It's just excuses. They've still got a game to fit in regardless of who they play. They could play a weakened side in this comp, they probably will anyway.

    I don’t know the exact specifics but i imagine it’s something like some teams playing tuesday and some playing thursday and they’ll fit the cup game in on the opposite day or something like that. But if of the two teams drawn against each other one team is playing thursday and one tuesday there’s no day they both have free.

    It’s because they’ve changed how the champions league works & some weeks you’ll have 2 of our teams playing & 2 won’t be playing & vice versa the following week.

    Hypothetically if City drew Liverpool & then they end up playing on opposite weeks in the champions league then there isn’t a mid week that they can play the league cup tie.

    I disagree with it but that’s the reason why.
