I’ve ended up having quite a long conversation with him, as usual it’s a case that those that don’t see good in the club don’t want you to either and eventually it’s your fault for being somehow radicalised by the club, which is quite something when it’s coming from a Tommy & Farage groupie.
Simple answer is it’s not all bad and it’s a good place to get up to date news. Sometimes some of the content is so bad, it’s too good not to share.
Too many people want instant results from everything, too many people not prepared to wait and see what happens when each change is made. That just isn't realistic in the real world.
I think it shows more that our fans didn't value the tie against them that less than half of our support turned up. 6,000 more turned up to watch us play Mansfield
The problem for me though is, why not just say that. I'll be honest, I rarely go to cup games unless it's one that takes my fancy. I planned on going to Wigan but couldn't get anyone to go with me, I didn't fancy the Man U U21s game at all, and thought the atmosphere might be better for the game the other night so I went to that. But a lot on twitter make out they're protesting by not going, when simply, they just don't want to pay extra for a cup game. There's been a lot of people (on here included) who have belittled the club this week over the attendance for the Sheff Utd game. Nobody would have batted an eyelid had we not played a side who were going to bring 5,000. I wonder how many of the people who said that £17 for a league cup fixture is too expensive, will manage to find £40 to go to Old Trafford.
