following from the thread about players from Sweden ... How many nationalities have been represented in BFC teams over the years?
Slovenian Ales Krizan and Suad Filekovic. Iceland Halfreddson. Denmark. Molby, Christansen, Anderson and Sand. Macedonia. Hristov. Chile Robledo. Bored now.
It’s interesting actually. By number of appearances, Wales tops the list followed by Scotland and Eire. But the next three are Jamaica, Netherlands (mostly De Zeeuw I reckon) and Nigeria.
Offhand: England Wales Scotland Northern Ireland Republic of Ireland France Austria Netherlands Belgium Germany Gibraltar Portugal Denmark Sweden Norway Slovenia Bulgaria Hungary Macedonia Iceland Peru Chile Brazil USA Australia New Zealand Jamaica Trinidad and Tobago Morocco South Africa
Off the top of my head (and looking at google maps) that's all i can think of. 5 of UK & Eire. Jamaica, Trinidad, Montserrat, Canada, US, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Chile. France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Malta, Gibraltar, Lithuania, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland. Iran, Israel, Australia, NZ, Egypt, Kenya, S Africa, Nigeria, Seychelles 43
Wasn't Montserrat Josiah Dyer? As in 3rd generation British and born in Hammersmith Josiah Dyer? Edit: Bruce Dyer represented Montserrat in a friendly too. So the list of countries that we've had players from, isn't the same as the list of countries that our players have been born in.
Guadeloupe is part of France - so any good players could play for the French team. The Guadeloupe team isn't a member of FIFA, only CONCACAF and CFU, so could never enter the world cup.
Technically Sri Lanka too because Yoganathan played for us before giving his allegiances and playing for Wales
