It can only have been 24/7 stressful work to get these deals done within the transfer window. Great effort to try for the Swedish international and not your fault that he decided against it. Great persistence to get DKD done and dusted and finally to convince Humphrys that we will be his best route to Championship football, which is clearly what he wants and what he waited for throughout the window. Two more strikers were what we wanted and two is what we have landed. Now, you deserve a decent rest and the pay-off will be watching these recruits come good, score/make goals and fire us towards promotion.

It's a well done from me.

 

Should have brought in Sterling, but the pull of becoming the first player to ever play for four of the PL big six was too much to compete against.

 

We always want more but I think the easiest way to look at it is are we stronger than last year. I would yes we've brought in experience which can only help as the season goes on. The only question is have we replaced the goals Cole and Mcatee scored plenty between them but how many did they create for others or each other for that matter. Forward play isn't just yourself you can add value to the team in other ways I feel the forwards we now have might not individually score the goals but the team will score as many. I think it's a tougher league this year but still hopefull of top six.
