Is Hourihane just not playing any more then? He seems to be lacking match sharpness, but he’s not going to get that if he’s not involved. He should still be out there, contributing for us
I count 6 recognised defenders including 3 right backs or wing backs be interesting to say the least what formation they play. If nothing else I'm sure Crawley are scratching there heads.
I thknk its a back 3 of MDG, Pines and Earl. Cotter RWB, O'Keeffe LWB. Craig, Connell Pillips midfield. Watters and Lofthouse up front out of sheer desperation
I have no idea either way, but do you know for sure it was wrong? Isn't it possible the manager just didn't want to include players who hadn't trained with the team all week?
Telling that after that Man U U21 match, none of our fringe strikers are deemed bench ready. I think young Dyer at least might have benefited from half a season on loan in L2.
Apart from the many block tackles and winning everything in the air you mean? I’d rather he was there than MDG or Earl
The Hourihane situation feels like a dilemma. I understand why he might only be able to play every other game or so. But if that means he isn't getting the sharpness, it's difficult to justify putting him in at all.
Could be right forget about O'keeffe able to play on the left I know it's early days but he doesn't fancy Gent much.
He's already explained several times why Gent hasn't had as many minutes on the field as others. Absolutely nothing to suggest he "doesn't fancy" him.
Classic Barnsley... we finally get some experience in the squad with Roberts and Hourihane and then we don't pick them !!
I hope we're all sitting here at full time thinking, well that was a tactical masterstroke. Because before kick off it looks confusing!
