I was once at a Coldplay gig at the Etihad, the band had just started and the touts outside still wanted double face value... They were scousers though
I gave up. Got to the ticket selection screen and kept getting an error message with anything I tried to select Oh and standing is now £350 due to being in demand. F*ck Ticketmaster
4 hours of my morning down the pan. Joined the queue at 58,000 and three and a half hours later, I was in, only to find only disabled tickets left. So changed date and got put to the back of the queue. Was only doing it for my kids anyway. As far as I am concerned, I have just saved myself £600+. And, Courteeners are my favourite Manchester band anyway.
Everything wrong with modern day ticketing. Demand pricing, websites that can’t function correctly. Annoyed I’ve wasted hours but happy that I’ve not spent 1p some of the most shady things I’ve seen for a while. Hospitality tickets being hoovered up by seat unique and reselling at 4 times the cost an example a diamond package that was £899 direct with Wembley being resold by seat unique for 4k a ticket. I’m really surprised Oasis didn’t put in more controls to stop this kind of nonsense. Clearly don’t give a **** about their fans really just a big pay day.
Ok, if you insist… Angel Music was at its first shop on Upper Street. It was my birthday around 2000. I popped in the shop on my way to art school at Chelsea. Spotted this 1983 MIJ Epiphone Sheraton, white with gold hardware. Brian Robertson from Thin Lizzy was working there, believe it or not? I’m not sure if he was still with Motörhead then, but obviously needed some extra cash? I asked him how much, it had just come in & he checked the book. £200, I’ll have it. Popped to a cash point over the road. A proper steal. About a grand would be a reasonable price today.. The case was knackered & we had to gaffer tape it shut. & I went on my merry way. Picking up the new Sparklehorse record too. Left Brian pouring brandy into his coffee.. A couple of days later I saw Andy Hackett, (Rockingbirds, Edwin Collins etc) who managed the shop.. In the Red Lion pub, at the Angel.. So Paul, Brian tells me you bought the white Epi? Yep.. He sold it to you, for what I paid for it. & I was saving that one for Noel.. He offered me £300, to get it back. I refused, once I was assured that Brian wouldn’t lose his job.. I later loaned/gave that guitar to my best pal Kevin Junior, when he was in London 2005, recovering from a bad heroin habit. Friend needed a guitar (that’s another massive story..) & here he is playing it. Lovely guitar. Kevin died January 2016, day after David Bowie.. I know Kevin sold it to pay rent, when he was clean & following major heart surgery. I don’t know where it is, (probably Chicago, somewhere?) but put word out that I would happily pay 1500 dollars to get it back. & maybe leave it to Noel Gallagher, in my will.? I got another one & still have it. But it’s not as nice, 1996 Korean..
Seriously? I don’t know mate.? Everything is just coincidence. I was never the most focused, but worked really hard at what I was reasonably good at.. I do have a sad story, which involves my own musical family, the record label & the Gallagher boys.. It’s grim, though. I might tell you privately. Liam is lovely, in my experience. I wouldn’t trust the other one for a second..
Well that’s been a **** show from ticket disaster…. Spent all day trying to get tickets. Bumped from collecting tickets twice. Now can’t log on…, sh!te
Got 2 tickets for Wembley. me and wife seen them so letting my 19 & 21 year old son and daughter have them as I'm nice like that
. you will be fine mate.. word in bands, is there are more provisional dates to be added.. Rolling Stones Wembley 1990. I paid £50 for 2 tickets. Saw another 2 shows for tenner each from touts.. That’s not happening again. But wait for added dates if you don’t get them on initial sale. Good luck. I’ll see if I can scrounge freebies & find someone to drive..
Hard not to be annoyed at not getting tickets despite continue to support them when they were both down on their arse… Such is life, viagogo it is
Bit annoyed as I think I could have got the tickets I wanted but been doing interviews at work. Fecking HR organising interviews on a Saturday. Got into Giggs and yours ticket page. Kept reloading with different tickets for each section while I was being called to interview so just managed to buy 2
Wife been on pretty much all day, finally got to point of trying to pick tickets and the website disconnected her and she was back of the queue when tried reconnecting. Decided I wasn't that bothered for going really...
Queued from 8.30am got on to select my tickets around 16.30 but then wouldn't let me select. Ive sent an email to Ticketmaster but I'm not very hopeful.
I had the same issue but was around 11/12 ish when I got to the ticket selection screen for a couple of dates with no joy Not sure an email will make any difference if all the tickets were snapped up hours ago I'm afraid
