He's asking why you are even sharing one of the most deranged conspiracy theories that has ever gained traction. The truth behind that theory is what is scary. That so many other billionaires are so terrified by one of their own being a selfless humanitarian that they would do absolutely anything to destroy him.
Hmm, not sure I agree with that stance. It's important to read other people's opinions, no matter how offensive/ utterly batshit they may appear to be. Only then can we start to attempt combat such lunacy. Sadly such viewpoints exist, whether we like it or not.
I was led to believe that Putin's favorite investment in Europe was Nigel Farage and not Victor Oban.
This is quite a long piece, but well worth a read. It really emphasises how catastrophic our asylum policy has been over the last 6 years. https://www.rescue.org/uk/article/what-are-safe-routes-refugees-four-common-myths-explained
I see what you're saying and I agree up to a point. If there was any prospect of a reasoned debate about it then ok crack on. However, things like this have become more like a religion and thus impossible to reason with it's followers. A bit like the MAGA crowd in the US, it's become a cult. My fear is that the more that impressionable types read about these crazy conspiracy theories, the more will be taken in. Back in 2002 I started reading some totally insane rubbish about the 911 incidents and even I was getting hooked. Thankfully my inbuilt ******** detector kicked in....
100% this Spreading the word is how these cults grow. In the pre-social media world to spread this nonsense took a lot of time and even more money. Now anyone can go 'viral' in minutes at no cost. This is why Elon Musk sharing Robinson tweets to his millions of followers is so dangerous.
Have you read the Rescue.org article https://www.rescue.org/uk/article/what-are-safe-routes-refugees-four-common-myths-explained (as posted elsewhere on this thread)? The prospect of living on £5.85 a day (and effectively be a prisoner) is hardly a massive financial incentive to risk your life in a small boat in the busiest seaway in the world.
Pregnant woman among 12 dead after boat carrying migrants capsizes in English Channel - BBC website. Death is a pretty good deterrent. How anyone on here thinks all migrants are scroungers just blows my mind. I'd Like to see some of these keyboard warriors enter those waters.
Scroungers are scroungers, they can be from anywhere and any colour. But you tend not to find scroungers having walked thousands of miles and risked death. Scroungers tend to just lay on their sofa and watch telly.
