We recently sat down with Barnsley FC's exciting new signing, Kelechi Nwakali, for an exclusive interview where the talented midfielder shared his thoughts on his first few weeks at Oakwell. From his experience settling into the squad to his ambitions with the Reds, Nwakali opens up about what it's been like adjusting to life in Barnsley.

"It's been good. Since I came here, the players and the staff have been trying to help me in settling down. Outside of football, trying to get my house, everything. So it has been good," Nwakali shared.

Could he be the best of all the new signings?

 

He could… but I doubt it. I think he’ll be one that is either amazing, or he’ll never get out of the u21s and we’ll offload him to Forest Green quietly in 18 months time. I’m hoping for the former, but not expecting.

 

He was a strange signing.

 

Bit of an odd one considering that Josh Benson managed to get over an injury and be fit before him.
