Road rage has always been a disgusting problem, but its so much more dangerous these days with people packing knives etc.
You just don't know who it is behind the wheel, when you toot the horn at them (even if you've got valid reasons to do so!).

There are no valid reasons in law and it just winds them up.

Had my estate car stolen once. Ladders on roof and all of my decorating gear in the back. A pile of glass was all I was greeted with when I returned to where I’d left it :(:(

When they drive reckless for example, and put you and other drivers in danger, its a normal reaction at times to toot or flash them.
I wouldn't 'recommend' it but surely we've all done it a few times!.

I agree, and I've advised my son to stop doing it.

One to remember for next time then. Almost unheard of to find a free car park near a football ground. Nice and big. There was even a nice little coffee vendor in the corner. ;)

This business about blasting your horn if cut up. I'd only use it as a warning. If an error occurs on my part I hold my hand up to apologise. And is generally acknowledged in return. Blasting the horn willy nilly is just antagonistic. As if the culprit has never done owt wrong. It really is pathetic. Kenneth Noye took road rage to the extreme and murdered someone.

I genuinely believe most people adhere to this ‘unwritten rule’ mate. It’s common courtesy and is valued by the vast majority of drivers. I think that’s why a bad experience stands out, just like mine did on Saturday. His kids ran out, I gave way and he just wanted to mouth and gesture when a thank you was required and expected.

This has just jogged my memory of another incident on the way to the ground. Two lanes merged into one and I’d held back allowing 2 cars to join from a slip road on my left, but a third car was trying to join and aggressively nudging forward, totally needless. There was nowhere for her to go.

I’ve an update on this if anyone’s interested.

The guy has paid for the window replacement. His name is referenced in the bank transfer, and as it’s very distinctive I thought I’d do a quick google search.

It’s little wonder he wanted to avoid legal action and paid up so quickly. Turns out he’s a clerk for the ministry of justice.

    Heyup pal,
    Report him to his employer.
He didn't think of the stress he caused you and by letting him off he is free to do it to someone else. I think Bill would be disgusted and would tell you the same:mad:
