Picked one of my kids up from summer lane school at 3 and it was surprising but also pleasing the number of kids coming out with their parents raving about the fact they were going to watch barnsley at Manchester.
Hopefully a decent performance and new generation of fans will come from this

Manchester, the M60 and everything within a 10 mile radius is a total irredeemable depressing overly busy shìthole. Fair play anyone braving it tonight. Taken 2 hours and 10 mins to do 25 miles.

Supporters tonight were fantastic in the face of a drubbing. Constant throughout.

Even at 7-0 down they were still chanting.

I hope the players repay them on Saturday because they certainly deserve a massive rebound.

 

The 16 official supporters coaches set off at 4.00 pm, aandour coach got to the ground at 7.50 pm.

 

Our club coach got there about ten to seven and I thought nearly three hours to Manchester was ages.

I take it you were on one of the coaches that went over Woodhead rather than use the motorway.

Getting back wasn't too bad at about five to twelve.

 

Just got back home. thought fans were brilliant


‘Let’s pretend we’ve scored a goal’ then going nuts was up there with the best chant I’ve heard at a footy match. My mate in the Stretford end said the Man U fans were pissing themselves

 

For all the moaning about team selection I enjoyed it.

Don’t get me wrong I’d be sick of the place if I had to go regularly with the traffic but as a one off occasion it was great.

Top stadium, plenty of places to eat & drink nearby, loads of parking, nice scenery by the river. It helped that we had nice weather too.

Always good to see a packed away end with lots of people I know too.

As a fanbase we were great tonight. I think some of the players were almost embarrassed to get that kind of reception after a 7-0 drubbing. We did ourselves proud

 

Just got in. Proud to be a red tonight.

Not really anything to do with on the pitch, but just to be part of a packed away, singing our hearts out at 7-0 down, was (in a weird way), good for the soul.

We need to try and take that energy into future games. You could see how much the players appreciated it, they were still on the pitch long after United, and all their fans, had headed off into the night. All we ask is for a team that runs their blood to water, and with backing like that they’ll do it every time.
