DKD and Humphrys are not strikers. I know the club tried to claim they are, but they're not. It was gaslighting because they didn't sign any strikers that everyone knew we needed.

I’ve heard on the grapevine that Smith is horrendous. Kinda makes sense when he can’t even get on the bench ahead of Killip.

More a winger. Reckons he can play in the middle, if there is a striker to play off, but he can't lead the line.

After getting the chance to do a bit of a rebuild in the summer with the departures of Williams, Cadden, Kane, Roberts, Cole & McAtee one would have thought we wouldn’t be a few games in & playing players out of position.

We’ve now got 8 central midfielders on the books - Connell, Phillips, Craig, Yoganathan, Benson, Hourihane, Russell & Nwakali who are all presumably earning a decent wage yet we only have one left back who the manager clearly doesn’t rate (or at least thinks needs a lot of work). Add to that there’s Matty Wolfe too if he can ever get over his injury issues.

    It’s piss poor.

I was told Nwakali was pretty poor for the U23’s yesterday as well. I’m not really sure what the point in his signing was.

    I would go with -

    Killip
Cotter De Gevigney Roberts Earl Gent or Lofthouse
    Phillips Craig Connell
    Cosgrove Keillor Dunn

Difficult to argue against any of this, the squad is still way too big for me, the signings of hourihane and Roberts look more about bringing on the youngsters, I get that but we keep wasting money on collecting players that have little to no impact, thought when we offloaded Dallas, Shaw etc we'd learn but we look like we've started a new collection.
To not have addressed the wing back situation is poor when you look hoe stacked we are in midfield.
