In that upper tier last night I barely recognized any faces like most away games……..these are usually same folk who slag club off ‘******* crap Barnsley’ ‘no ambition’ ‘don’t want to go up’ etc etc Give me 1500 fans at Burton all day long!!!
I thought it was a lot more positive than at most away games. I had a much better experience than I did at Blackpool. At least everyone got behind the team last night & didn’t turn on them.
Don't honestly get why people get upset when people want to go and see big games like last night. It brings in revenue for the club and some of those might get the bug and go more often (maybe not after last night!). Not everyone can afford to go regularly either. Can't have your cake and eat it. Same fans will be whinging we have no money.
Don't care who goes to watch us. Case in point coach 5 had a little lad in the green Manchester United shirt.
Bizarre. Who cares. As long as everyone gets behind the team and those that ‘deserve’ a ticket get one, I don’t see the problem. It was the most positive reds away end I’ve been in, in years. Well done to everyone who made the trip, they did the club proud.
I've been to plenty of away games where the atmosphere was awful. Our fanbase isn't big enough to take advantage of tuesday night 7500 capacities so in that regard i'm happy that people have chose to spend their money at our club and go follow them even if its just for one game. Nobody loses here, we get revenue from them and support and they get to go watch man united.
I must admit this attitude does confuse me we have a hard core of around 8000 fans away maybe 300-500. Are honestly saying you would prefer we take 500 to old trafford and Wembley 8000 more the merrier for me.
So 1500 people that suit your own agenda, dont criticise is better than 3000 made up of intermittent attendees, challengers and with some moaning on the side? Odd. I guess the home crowds would be much less too.
No agenda old luv………and yes bums on seats supporting the team at OT Wembley etc is great for the coffers………like I say it’s the floaty fans who often criticise that we have no ambition but won’t commit to watching them week in week out, no big deal, only an observation. X
I think 6000 paying over £40 a piece on a Tuesday evening to watch the game last night had every right to be there. That to me is fantastic support……nothing else.
I'll be at Burton on Saturday - just to watch the players react to that farce last night. I think they owe us! However, the atmosphere in the Barnsley end last night was the best I've heard in years. All the more creditable bearing in mind the car crash we were watching. I thought the fans were absolutely superb. Undoubtedly helped by the fact that most of the volume came from those many who were standing. Brilliant - and credit Man U for making that facility available to away supporters.
It was so pathetic he had about 5 goes at it and still couldn’t break it, ran off the second a steward shouted oi.
