A poster calling himself Judith Charmers (spelling it wrong as well), moaning about tourists. Irony overload.
I thought that our players looked particularly humbled and overralled by the reception they got at the end. If that doesn't inspire them to perform better nothing will.
I liked I Only Want To Be With You: But I think Annie and Dave did their best work with The Eurythmics. And this is a ridiculously underrated song:
Yep, that completely threw me too. Saying Barnsley, rather than the Reds, for that chant isn’t particularly easy either.
Quite bizarre to assume you know the face of every single Barnsley fan. I bumped into loads I know / see at games in upper tier unless it was tourists in masks? I think its more likely that some that don't travel to away games made more effort to go but it doesn't mean they don't go to home games. I know a few that specifically don't go to away games because of the behaviour of some of the fans, Old Trafford was predicably more sanitised (Save for a few individual incidents that looked like coked up nut jobs kicking off, though I was too far away to see about what).
What do I expect them to do? Not further humiliate the team by singing such songs and maybe sing more supportive songs instead? I stand by what I said, absolute disgrace. Complete tin pot attitude too.
**** you. You’re right, I don’t go to most away games. I’m a season ticket holder for twenty plus years who lives a few stops on the tram from Old Trafford. I slog over the Pennines every ‘home’ game. So take your opinions and shove them up your Harris.
My mate and me always talk about this. We go to most away games and always see new faces. There are lots that we do recognise, but always people I’ve never seen before - even at far flung midweek games when we’re down to the die hards.
This. I spent nearly 8 years going to more away games than home as I would arrange work around midweek fixtures away where possible.
You say something that makes you look a nob. Everyone says you’re a nob. You wonder why everyone is calling you a nob.
