You don't know the OP. I just think it's poor advice. I'd rather tell someone to prepare for a challenge with a bit of a base than impart the advice to just rock up and crack on.

6 years ago I cycled up to Horton from West Yorkshire, jogged halfway up PYG to catch the rest up and got round in 7.5 hours. Last year, aged 57 and having let myself go somewhat, I got round in 9.5 and struggled like pheck. Only my pride got me round.

As I say there are tougher walks but there is nothing wrong with advising folk to prep well.

Definitely not, or we wouldn't have been out doing it. The pub was open at the end too.

I’d say you’re pretty fit if you play 5 a side fairly regularly. We’ve had people play who might go to the gym or even jog & 5 a side knackers them.

Done couple of times. 9 hrs at best. drinks ( I had energy drinks). snacks. change of socks and plasters are key. comfortable clothing in layers and a backpack big enough to carry ya stuff if ya take it off. Did it in snow late in year once and it's tough but worthwhile. Had a nice pint in Horton at the end and wound down before trip home.
