https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2024/september/20/stockport-free-ticket/ How’s this work though? Wont most people attending both be season ticket holders?
I think the idea then is that you can gift it to a mate/family member etc. I've got a mate who's a Stockport fan, can I give my free one to him?
That’s a very good idea. Difficult clash - 7.45pm on a Saturday. Is it on Sky? So this guarantees a much bigger home gate than it would have otherwise. Better optics, more people buying food and drink, and if the lads get a good result on the pitch it’ll hopefully tempt some folk to come back for the next game etc. I guess the bonus revenue from the cup tie makes it easier to offer something like this, but it’s still something to be applauded.
Should be a good gig if everyone takes advantage of it. However many ST holders we have + 6500 freebies + away fans = a bloody good crowd
Good idea by the club. The fans who paid 42 quid to watch us roll over and have our bellys tickled deserve something.
A great gesture wouldn't be the best supported fixture but all the same they didn't have to do it. Well done and thank you.
Should do. Way I read it. Proof of purchase I would imagine for those without season tickets. Can't imagine rocking up with stubs will suffice. Client ref. Will show season ticket holders who bought man utd tickets.
Not sure what you mean mate. Season ticket holders who went can grab a freebie. To give to whoever they like. Non season ticket holders that went can get a ticket to use however they wish. Themselves or a.n. other.
Fantastic from the club End of the day they didn’t need to do this. You go to cinema and the film is rubbish you don’t get a refund
The very fact that we capitulated so pathetically will surely put off the casual fans? Nice gesture but not sure many will take it up given the game is live on Sky.
