To be honest I never liked Bassett in his days with Sheff Ure. But after the huge disappointment of the Hendrie season, I thought he was a good appointment for us, just what and who we needed. And what a memorable season it turned out to be.
Brilliant season, think we hammered man city on there way down, battered Blackburn 4 years after they'd won the prem, higgy one of my faves, hence the moniker
I also thought it after the 4-3 friendly win against Derby. That this season under Clarke could have a lot of interesting and exciting matches, with lots of goals at both ends!. But whether that means it will be a 'successful' season though, remains to be seen. For example today, I would have been impressed with a plain old fashioned 0-1 win, and keeping the clean sheet.
One of my favourite seasons under Bassett and so relieved he didn't seem to have us play the way he had at Sheffield Utd
