I'm glad he's back and offering us something again so should we be offering him another long contract before he leaves for free ?
It's weird. There's folk on here today criticising the Burton comms. Yeah, he was talking wet regards the penalty shout. But in general I felt his lead comms were very good. My kind of commentator. Summariser was decent too. It was radio commentary that they were doing today, they had no screens or anything. THAT is much harder than TV style which I did a few times during COVID. Not sure why we've no Matt Bailey to be honest. I ought to check in and ask, but I've tried to keep my nose out for obvious reasons.
It’s ok, you can quite legitimately have something against Peacock. His views on women are appalling.
Me too. Really enjoyed their company. I thought he got the penalty call wrong, or at least it wasn't as clear cut as he claimed (and he thought it was Roberts who committed the 'foul' (it was Craig)), but I don't like or dislike people because they get things right or wrong. All my mates are wrong with everything they ever say (as am I) and I still like them, occasionally. I just found the commentators an easy listen, good company. Hope you're alright with whatever went off at BFC. I know you're probably not, but I hope it ends up as a just a thing that happened, like one day in 2013 you tripped over a kerb. And it will.
I didn't mind him to be fair, I just hope he didn't get caught in that thunderstorm that he was obsessed with.
He's not alone unfortunately fired, and you'll be far more aware of that than I am. We'll get there eventually. Not in our lifetimes, but you just try to pave the way...
Yeah he should have been banned from the snooker circuit after that foul. How did he even manage to sneak his cue onto the pitch, and past the ref ?.
I'm alright buddy. I made the right decision. Wish I'd made it a year earlier, but hindsight and all that. My only worry when leaving was whether I'd be able to revert back to just being a fan. But considering I jumped up and cheered as Humphrys headed home the winner a couple of hours ago, I think I'll be fine. Hope you're well!
I jumped and cheered at it too and I'd only just slagged him off ten seconds earlier! (You'd think I would have learned to keep my powder dry until after the game has concluded, but apparently I haven't) To be fair to him, he looked like an absolute monster when he put that in. I was doubly impressed.
For me there’s never been any doubts about his ability it’s just getting him on the pitch. I thought he was excellent against Man Utd’s under 21’s & him coming off was a big part of us falling apart.
I know he doesn't choose to be injured all the time. I'm saying he's in to his 4th year now and this is by far the most consistent his performances have been. I wouldn't say he's played well before for us. His first three seasons with us he didn't impress much when he could play.
