Feel for the geordies who will have booked time off work and travel for nothing.

Couldn't they have played at MK Dons....

Just reading Jimmy Greaves autobiography. When he was first starting out at Chelsea, the first place he lived with his wife was a flat at the old Plough Lane ground. He had to go some cleaning and tidying of the ground as part of his rent!

One of the most boring biographies I've ever read tbh. Kept reading cos I thought. It's got to get better. Nope.

Have you read Darren Goughs - Dazzler? Expected him to be a laugh a minute, Jack the lad character but it turns out he was the ultimate professional. No description of nights around Barnsley or Gazza like pranks. All statistics and how he took 5 for against different countries. Most boring autobiography I've read although I haven't read Greavesies.

I generally find some of those you expect to be a great read turn out to be the worst.
    Eg Greavesy. Tommy Docherty.
And vice versa. Great reads. Dickie Bird and Boycott on Boycott for example.
Not read Goughies btw. Thanks for the heads up. Gazzas was great especially his jimmy 5 bellies antics. :)

When my eldest got married his brother who was best man produced a spoof book called “Boycott on Marriage” even produced the book with a doctored fly cover of “Boycott on cricket”. Some of the guests were fooled.

Apparently it is a sink hole exposed by heavy rain. A crown funding page has been opened with Newcastle United contributing £15,000.
