Hendersons changing the labels for the export market from 'Relish' to 'Worcestershire Sauce'. Oh dear how sad never mind. https://www.thestar.co.uk/lifestyle...-on-bottles-of-famous-sheffield-sauce-4790211
They're quite right to moan. Its NOT Worcester sauce. Shouldn't be marketed as such. I wouldn't like Yorkshire puds to be renamed for a foreign market...
I'd imagine the good folk of Worcestershire will be more upset having their good name tarnished by that muck....
Like Champagne, Parma ham and Cornish pasties maybe the sauce made in Worcestershire needs protection.
One thing I noticed having left the UK is just how popular Worcestershire sauce is around the world. My current mrs is from Cuba and it’s used there in their cuisine, my ex was from Japan and again it’s used there a lot too. My ex before that was from Venezuela and her family would constantly ask how it’s properly pronounced as again it’s very common. In Germany too, but that’s less surprising. Absolutely no surprise Henderson’s want to change the name for the export market. Makes total sense and if they want a local business to do well they should get behind it.
Didn’t realise it was only for the export market, in which case I applaud them for doing what’s profitable for their business. You’d hope that the name stays the same for the British market though.
In other news, Sausage Rohl says if it wasn't for the standard of refereeing Wednesday would be top half. Yes, Danny, Championship referees are a little better compared to League One, and a lot harder to buy, owd pal
Did you change your name from Rotherham_tyke to suit the global market? If so, it appears to have paid off. You, my friend, are one serious worldwide shagger.
