    All is forgiven….

This manager is ******* atrocious. Non-existent midfield, awful subs’ & no plan B.

    Hurrendous.

Shades of Schopp....Yet to see what he brings to the table.

Does he get a cut of appearance fees? Can be the only reason he feels he needs to change half the team every game.

Yes, too many subs, should have gone on the front foot.

But apparently he gives amazing interviews so all is forgiven.

I'm guessing he's an excellent motivator and man-manager, and he seems to be able to organise a team reasonable well. But unless the players are completely ignoring him, he appears to have the tactical nous of a dung beetle.

    Best start in 6 years.

Mentality of players at home still clearly weak, has been for a good few year now. Wonder why..?

He's made mistakes but also done some good stuff. I never called for Collins out so I've nothing to apologise for, but I certainly won't start hounding out Clarke after 8 league games, whilst we are 5th, whilst having the best start in 6 years.

I am blaming whoever it was upstairs that said we are going to play 5 at the back and by the way we are not signing wingers anymore only wing backs. Its all down to **** tactics that any head coach has been told to play

In principle I agree with you. His striking options are limited through no fault of his own. But that still doesn't explain why we've looked so aimless for large parts of the season.

Collins couldn't talk the talk, well if he did it was above my range, but got us and himself to within a couple of games of promotion, but the spectacle was shīte.
Clarke can talk the talk, it's early days but I don't see a top 6 finish and the spectacle is shīte.
    Fine margins, eh?

If that American clown catches the ball instead of punching it we win the game but that would have plastered over the massive cracks in this side. Side ways passing dropping deeper the longer the game goes on and remarkably we have even less pace than we had last season up front , in a nutshell it’s boring football.

I’m not convinced by Clarke but I’m not blaming him. He had to make subs today to try & put some life into us. We were pretty dire from about the 10th minute onwards. I think the main issues lie above him.

The summer was a fantastic chance to rebuild & do something a bit different & get some wide men & pace in the side & we’ve blown it.

Our recruitment makes no sense at all. We’ve lost a near ever present left wing back in Cadden & we’re now playing a right footer there as the manager clearly doesn’t trust Gent. Why not sign two left footed left wing backs in the summer?

We know we had the budget. We know that because we’ve got enough midfielders for two clubs. All of Hourihane, Yoganathan, Russell & Nwakali haven’t even made the squad tonight. On top of Matty Wolfe if he ever gets fit. Who’s recruiting all these central midfielders but isn’t pointing out that we’re desperately short of wide men & need another left wing back?

And the three error prone defenders who were for me the three weakest links in last seasons side are all still starting this season. That’s another reason why we’ll keep giving away cheap goals.

He's crap and needs to go. Our big problem over the years has been waiting too long to pull the trigger.

I really don't think it's reasonable to sack a manager when we're in the playoff positions after 8 games, no matter how patchy the displays.

I wanted to be the first this year too. Why spoil the habit of a lifetime mate? :D. As an aside really enjoyed tonight and listening to Ponty sing and being with good friends made me quite emotional.:)

Too early for any talk of Clarke being sacked.... I am very disappointed after today but nowhere near calling for his head.

I am sick of this cycle of us hiring and firing managers, we need some stability and someone to take us forward for a few seasons rather than a new man each year but that doesn't mean there isn't a lot he can do better.

Needs to get them fired up and pressing for one with some urgency and bite rather than the half arsed effort we seem to get currently.

And work on some patterns of play and some actual tactical stuff rather than just punting it forward hoping something will happen. When we get it down and players link up we can do good things. The DKD goal vs Bristol for example and the first Phillips got vs crawley.

We've not been solid enough defensively for a while, we can't just sit back on a one goal lead and see it out. It's not good enough

He’s just as adept at getting teams out of this division (the wrong way) as getting teams into it. Still a really odd choice to appoint him not many teams would appoint a head coach that just got relegated. Let’s hope the club prove us wrong.

Hmm. Last year the football was poor and I was bored out of my tree most home games but we were in a good league position. This year we are still in a good league position and so far I have not been bored. However the quality of football is still poor.
