Great to see a lot of young kids stepping up. Hopefully we get a season in Division 1 out of them before they sign international contracts.

Yippee! Glad I got to the game today, nearly didn't bother. Great knocks from Lyth and Wharton. We have the nucleus of a good side, just need to get someone like Vishwa in to replace Fisher.

Lovely stuff. No reason they cannot go for the title next season. Our cause was helped by having Root, Bairstow and Brook available a lot more than usual for different games.

Could do with a captain who's around more.

Throw back to when Wharton won the Drakes Premiership local Cricket league whilst captain of Yorkshire under 15s....

That Scholes team was great. Their overseas player Joe Carter has done well in his native New Zealand.

Yeah lads, a great big well done to you all, Im really proud of them mighty Tykes tonight. :)
Promotion means a lot to us, after the horrible and controversial recent few years we've had to go through, as a County.
And hey I know it's a naff and very biased thing to say... but Cricket really needs Yorkshire in the top division again, doesn't it. And btw, I couldn't give a rat's bum about Lancashire.
And I think the man who ought to get player of the season, is Adam Lyth.

No point tiring the bowlers out today going for the win. They should bat all day and aim for whatever their highest ever total is.

Why? No point risking the bowlers health.

Hill got his cap a few days ago … is it the right time to do likewise with Wharton ?
I’m fairly sure he’s uncapped and he’s a similar age to Hill etc

Should try and overtake this 96 year record according to Google Gemini.

As of September 2024, the highest innings total Yorkshire has ever scored in the County Championship is 644 runs. This was achieved against Somerset at Headingley in 1928.
