    No idea how much input said person has, the concern for me is who is setting the blue print at the club for tactics and formation, inexplicably purely sticking to wing backs and zero wide attacking players in the squad.

    Our wing backs aren't very good at attacking and aren't very good at defending, frustrating to watch this week in week out, season after season!

    Totally overloaded the squad with central midfielders, bizarre recruitment strategy.

    Totally inadequate options up front, it will come back to bite us this season 100%.

    I don’t think we’ll see him play again. Unfortunately I think the fans have been tricked a bit. Bit of clever PR to shift more STs. Don’t get me wrong, great to have him at the Club in some capacity. But I reckon most fans will feel the Club positioned the signing as a player/coach, and it would now appear that was possibly never the real intention.

    Yes - I'd forgotten just how long a career he's had. Hourihane's certainly played in the Prem more recently though. Just very annoying and to be honest baffling seeing a player of his calibre not even in our matchday squad.

    I wonder how many who bought a ST on the signing of Hourihane as a player/coach renew after being tricked. There's only so much 'pillocking' the board can get away with.

    This was a signing to sell season tickets they knew he had no intention of playing.and it worked more than likely our next manager

    Must be a bit weird for Clarke, knowing that as soon as there's a downturn the board already have his replacement in post.

    Let this guy learn from you so he can replace you, likely within the next 18 months.

    I also agree the supporters appear to have been pillocked over his playing role.

    Yes give him a chance while we're searching if he's does well? I think he'd get best out of us, if he doesn't do so well put him back to wat he's doing now he could be interim manager for a couple of Yr but on better money,can't blame that corner on him 1st LG at Bolton.
