Thought Cotter was completely anonymous second half, especially once Jalo ended up wide right Agree about Humphreys, Jalo and Benson. Jalo looks class at times but definitely needs to pick his moments more
Decent result considering the team that was selected, which gave us no chance. Fortunately only one down before changes were made.
Everything was summed up for me when we showed urgency to get a goal back to make it one all and then inexplicably told Humphreys to stop attacking. At one point he tried to join the attack and was waved back by the bench
I think it’s crazy that footballers at this level are paid more than ever, have ‘better’ coaching, nutrition, facilities, technology than ever and are on the whole worse than players 20 years ago. Basic passing, position, intensity and passion just seem to be missing across the board.
I'm trying to do the decent thing and give Clarke time to embed and progress before commenting but getting frustrated by lack of progress from game to game. I believe the squad is good enough and when a manager talks large and promises exciting free-flowing footie that's entertaining to watch, you expect to see progress towards it. How about one of his non-negotiables being "you have to go forward" or "pass to someone in your team"?
It’s clear to see the recruitment team have failed miserably once again we look ten times worse than last season and only show any urgency when we go behind.
Goodness me. Our first half display was too slow for it to be called pedestrian! Improvement in the second half, but it could hardly get worse. Pleased for Humphreys, who (for me) is looking like the best of our Summer signings. At least we didn't lose.
We were all laughing at Bolton a few games ago, Evatt was rightfully gonna be booted next. If they win their game in hand, they go above us.
Clarke seems a downgrade to me so far. We've got to give him time but it's looking bleak. Quite fun guessing how many different formations we try to play in each game I guess. That's one positive.
I know Hooky feller will be along soon to join in on this one, but why-oh-why-oh-fu¢king-why don't we leave anyone upfield when we're defending corners??!?! It's absolute madness. No out ball, opponents have as much time and space as they need to get the ball back in. Ultimately led to Wycombe's second goal tonight.
Thing is I don’t mind losing or drawing as long as we have a go, like we did for about 15 minutes today! For the life of me I can’t see why the hell isn’t Connor starting , he could still do it with Derby last season, just get him up to speed
