He's not a defender. I think you need to ask the gaffer why he was playing full back.

    Tactics today baffled me TBH.

Looked great upfront, scored and then seemed to drift to play wide left and at times further back covering Earl at left back. Baffling stuff….

Three clean sheets in 39 league games now including the play-offs and one of those was against a Clarke team!

What on this planet was MDG doing for the second goal - jumped out of the way of the cross, then tried an ooh-la-la idiotic back flick instead of clearing it and gave it straight to a Wycombe player and then let said player glide past him.

That was the fourth Wycombe chance MDG was culpable in tonight. It's embarrassing to have a defender this bad at at this level.

Mad Baz has come on leaps and bounds in an attacking sense but defensively he is also shocking. Thank God for Robbo tonight.

Yep it was crystal clear that we came for a draw. Time wasting at nil nil, attacking when one down, going defensive at one all and then attacking to one down.

1 point in the bag at home against Wycombe. Just as the manager wanted and played for

Anyone who hasn't watched it and sees the scoreline is going to assume it was a good game. That's probably the worst 2-2 I've ever seen. Just awful.

Correct - stats are killing in the game - less shots from outside the area- get that pass completion up by pointless possession short passes rather then riskier attacking balls. They are taught exactly where they should be depending where the ball is on the pitch - to the yard - boring AF.

Jalo & Benson both looked okay coming on, rest of the team not great

Surely this would be a better idea. It’s a novel concept involving playing players in their natural positions, and playing attacking football.

GK I guess it has to be the Chelsea lad
LB the lad from Blackburn who is a left back - gent
    RB O’Keefe…. I guess
CBs surely we can create a good partnership from the ones we have. I’m not convinced they’re great but we need two to form a relationship . I would go for Roberts and Earl
LM . Jalo. Blood him, tell him to get forward. Swap wings with Barry occasionally
RM. mad Baz. A highlight of this season. Probably our best player this season. Nice and positive. The others need to take note.
CM. Connell, Philips, Benson. Get them to forge a relationship and patterns of play with each other, tell them to get forward. There’s none of this going on at the moment. Playing Craig and Connell is way too negative and unnecessary
CF only Humphrys looks vaguely capable

Constantly swapping things is hugely confusing for the footballers. I’m convinced after watching football for many years that players play to their best when they are part of a very clear system and you know, play in their natural position

How wasteful are we with set pieces? About 5 corners in a row and 4 of them were useless. Free kicks are not much better.

It doesn't matter what he does, even if he scored a hattrick, you really have it in for MdG. He may not be great, but he is no worse than many in the team each week, but you always single him out for abuse.

    He's French!!!

    Probably.

He's no world beater but he's not a great deal better or worse than anything else we have. Pines is definitely no better. Earl is only just beginning to find any kind of form again.
