Get a ******* grip and sort this mess out. We're in decline here and it's all your doing. Don't sack the head coach and think you can avoid the criticism again!
To bring some positive to the situation. People can look forward to May/June, the time when excitement starts to build, people rush for season tickets and a re-cycling of the clubs PR boosts moral.
Who is gunna get announced to play for us next time but actually only be a part of the coaching staff? Redfearn? Hammill?
Hey Shepley Red, it's only 17 months since Wembley you know! Plus, why not go and see our fantastic ladies team in the 64th tier! Hope you enjoyed the lovely day out at Old Trafford!
This. The only thing I can criticise the board for is for appointing him. They've continued to put money into the club so I find it difficult to understand the 'managed decline' arguement. I believe they made a good decision in spliting the CEO role into two to incorporate a Director of Football/Sporting Director but they've made a shocking decision in who they have appointed. A brief highlight of his contribution to date: Sack a head coach before the end of the season who had won enough points to reach the play offs Try to appoint a head coach who didn't meet the work permit regulations Unable to appoint a head coach who has the basic skill set to manage a club with Championship ambitions Unable to recruit players with pace in all positions Recruited players for positions in the team that didn't need strenghtening whilst failing to recruit for those that did Mis-leading supporters with recruiting a coach and stating they were a player/coach Zero communication with fans over what the role is, what their vision for the role is and how we develop as a club I'm under no illusions that it's a difficult role and the inbalance in our squad will take a few windows to correct but the lack of communication is just as criminal as their incompetence shown thus far in their recruitment decisions.
Neerav, JAQ & in particular the Crynes need to actively look to sell the club for any real progression to happen in the future. They are holding us back, & dragging us on a downward spiral, not just on the field, but off it too. Nothing will change until they’re gone.
Agree with a lot of that although I do think its 'managed decline'. I dont think the board want to manage decline but that's effectively what they're doing. Imo.
Khaled was stretched and had a few faults but at least he fronted up. Mladen hides and that is inexcusable.
He came out to tell us that patience had been the key and that we’d got our summer window targets to give us a strong squad for a tilt at promotion. Might be a while before we hear from him again….
None of them have any football experience, but perhaps more worryingly, as far as I'm aware, none of them have any successful commercial business management experience either. It's a massive worry.
Not sure what anyone thinks a couple of windows would do to improve us ? Apart from getting rid of the guff but then that’s nearly every man Jack of the useless lot.
They are having to put money because of decisions they have taken and the model they are running the club to. They are the ones who've keep putting people into roles that they fail in. They are the ones that sanction the break up of the squad at the first sign of success and interest from other clubs and have sanctioned the recruitment of poorer and poorer players the replace the ones leaving. They are the ones that every time there as been a glimmer of hope at Oakwell have managed to extinguish the glimmer without fail. They can put as much money in has they want but it's wasted money because of their incompetence.
I think that’s been biggest fault for a long time, even back to when James Cryne became recruitment chief, what experience had he got apart from being Patrick’s son
