I think we've done this many times in the past, with two successive home/away games, against the same team. Didn't we have two successive defeats away at Hudds in season '95 ?. When Andy Payton's hat trick saw us hammer them at home in the 2nd leg. And the reward was a home tie against Arsenal in the next round!.
If it was me, given it’s a free hit, I would pick a strong side ( I know, I know) using a different mix with some fringe players that is attack minded and actually try a positive approach for a change! Just see how it goes !
Had no idea there was a game on Tuesday? Paint pot trophy I take it? Either way it’ll be yet another fully rotated line up. Given there’s a two week international break & our game is postponed next week I would play the first team, whatever that is.
Fair play, i thought Darrell Clarke made some ridiculous team selections but you picking Marsh as a lone striker has given me a bit of perspective. Nice one.
It’s an abomination of a competition but it’s the only opportunity we get to see certain players so again I’m looking forward to seeing the likes of Vimal, Wilkinson, Marshy etc. We’ll probably see Kelechi, Pines and Benson too. What’s not to like?
