    Hi all
Do any of the local kids leagues play Saturday? Can't do Sundays but looking for a fairly low ability local team for my lad. Only decided at 10 that he wants to give it a go and it seems impossible for a kid without competitive experience by that age to find a team.
    Any advice gratefully received

My lad plays for Pontefract Colliers under 13s , they have an excellent setup.

Does he have a red shirt and is he available Saturday afternoons?

Do none of his friends play for any teans? That's the age my ds decided to give it another go and he improved massively over the next couple of years.

Can't speak for all areas or age groups but my Grandson has started playing Saturdays this season. It's not as localised as Sunday football we've played at Skipton and outskirts of Bradford already. I would say it would be difficult for your lad to start at that level it tends to be high level grass roots type player's the ones not in academy's. Shame you can't do Sundays as that's a great starting point many different teams at all different levels, anyway good luck and hope you find somewhere to play.

They do but lots play Sunday, the ones who play Saturday are in teams who won't entertain a lad of ten who's never really played competitively. I'll see if Ponte Colls have an U11s team in the Selby league as that's not far from me at all
