I’m guessing this must be how Clarke set up his team to stop relegation but not realised our ambitions are different.

 

It's no worse than last season except we had a stronger squad last season, same style of passing back all the time.

Maybe it's the coaching staff who were also under Collins. Stead and Devaney? They play a massive part in training and they are the link between last year's dull shitty Collins ball.

 

Nah won ball clearly, right in front of us. This is appalling they look like they have had football coached out of them. Regardless of experience etc they look clueless.

 

Only good thing about that half is it's 0-0 not sure how. There's 4 of them been paid to coach but what are they coaching young Alfies under 12s retain the ball better than this lot.

 

We have literally no ambition or ability to sustain any attacks or string passes together unless it’s across the backline and to the goalkeeper , front foot football my arse you’re a liar and a fraud Clarke.

 

Suppose could spend half time debating which was our best attempt on goal …..oh wait a minute!

I haven’t seen the last few games through holidays. What I am witnessing tonight is possibly as abject as anything I can remember over my years supporting the club. I know it’s a largely second-string side but surely it ought to be possible for full-time professionals to do better than this. On this showing I really do fear for the future.

 

Watching Devaney on the touch line I'm guessing they get loads of smiles and pat's on the back but not much else.
