Why on earth are people calling for Clarke to go?

We have literally just started the season in a far better league than under Collins last season.

Our league position is acceptable at this stage of the competition.

We have introduced quite large scale squad changes in all areas of the pitch, they will take time to gel.

Ok performances haven't been good and some odd decisions especially around seemingly sitting back and making some odd subs.

Let's see how we are shaping up as we head into the festive period and at least give him a chance.

Absolutely crazy to call for his head after a handful of matches.

Far better league? The 3 teams that went up were no mugs Derby, Portsmouth and Oxford.
OK Birmingham are a freak at this level and Wrexham have all the attention, Huddersfield were equally dogger on Saturday
Your point stands though about clarke, needs supporting he needs to stop ******** about though and play a settled system.

We are also a far weaker proposition which might have something to do with it.

the division this year is way stronger at the top end than last year, we missed a great window of opportunity for promotion last year. Wrexham and Stockport both have higher wage bills than we do. Birmingham have broken all 3rd tier spending records. We do have the joint 6th highest budget with Wigan so around 5-8th is where we should be finishing on paper

Stockports wage bill is 3.45m per year
Barnsley's wage bill is 5.3m per year the 6th highest in the Division and only 0.5m lower than wrexham.

The squad size, quality and balance is the issue

You literally wanted Duff gone after 3 league games.

But I agree with you. Crazy to want him gone now.

Well you would want him to stay when he keeps picking you every week, considering how you give a goal away every match! :)

I knew he was a wrong un then! Duff came inherited a very good side for L1 IMHO. Clarke had the bar lowered somewhat, especially in defence.

The fact that he is tactically inept and makes **** subs every game that makes us worse pretty much covers it.

The evidence for getting shut is starting to pile up. 4 completely abject performances in a row. It was more enjoyable watching Asbaghi's team.

Because he's ****. He needs to go along with the director of football, most of our coaches and whoever in our boardroom or shareholders list it is who's dictating the style of play

Because there is now an instant demand for success and fans have a ******* hissy fit over the smallest things. No respect, no patience, nothing. The bord deserve a lot of criticism but no way should Clarke's position be under scrutiny at this stage.

Agree to a point but how long do you give a bloke who’s offering us nothing but negative boring football

Except that he blatantly lied. He promised a front foot style. He promised exciting football, to get us out of our seats. He may have an unbalanced squad but there's enough in there to attack teams.
