    That "gulf" is horseshit.

The team from our last 2 seasons would have ripped them apart. And I include the boring football from Collins.

I've no idea right now if we have a half decent team or not. But it looks far from it

Which begs the question who did decide the style? Who is sufficiently qualified in our higher ups to dictate what style of play attracts the most bids for players? I would argue that it's someone who knows a lot about data and about what attributes and statistics garner bids from rival clubs.

We have 2 30 plus year olds in our squad, 1 was playing in the Championship last season but he's a major contributor to our leaky defence. The other was pimped out as the messiah, but he's never gonna play for us.

We had one two years ago when we made the play offs and also none last year when we also made the play offs.

I think the commentary mentioned it was the Mccarthy header that hit someone and went out for a corner (1st half)

The names Cryne James Cryne, he's obsessed with the fact that in the transfer window after Val with the Championship play off tilt we received very few bids if any for our players and he's thinks playing like we are now will make the bids flood in during the transfer windows.

    Style?

Please tell me what style we play in now.

That's if it's not "give the ball away to them and see if they score".

I mentioned that earlier (in the match day thread) as I assumed thats what the shot was. (McCarthy)

However, after the game, they replayed and the commentator summarising, states that was our only effort. (Marsh)

I laughed mainly because I didn't class it as an effort. So thought it was amusing that they picked that out. Well, both of those "efforts" weren't shots to me.

In reality, our shots at goal was actually zero as far as I'm concerned

The gulf doesn’t justify our backline not being able to pass the ball ten yards to another player in bright Illuminous pink

The players are starting to look disinterested. I didnt see a sense of urgency or effort from ones supposedly pushing for the first team. Same on Saturday. Add that to an already weak squad, lack of quality and depth and i dont need a spreadsheet to understand the outcome or that the net present value isnt good.

The new midfielder was the only player who looked like someone who could get control of a ball with his head up. It was a positive. I would be starting him and Killip after the international break.

the reality though is swapping and changing within this squad wont do much as there isnt a nucleus of quality to build around.
