Is the current squad the worst we've assembled? I'm struggling to remember one worse since 1977 when I started following the Reds.
I was thinking about this I'd say yes, struggling to find positives apart from I like Adam Phillips and luca connell and Barry cotter has grown on me.
Don't think it's the worst we've ever had not great but not that bad. It's a poor squad been badly coached I'm afraid recipe for disaster.
I like the look of Humphrys, but regardless we are so unbalanced he’s not going to get the service is he.
Oh believe me ,we’ve had far worse. TBF we’ve got some really good players, it’s just the pie cans that recruited the squad didn’t give any thought to how they would play together, consequently we have got so many similar players that they are falling over themselves on the pitch and no ‘links to join it all together or offer an alternative style or pace.
When you look at the goals Cosgrove scored for us in the playoffs, they’re as much about the service as the finish.
It’s the worse we’ve assembled in recent history. The squad we finished the season with when Thordarson was manager that year was worse than this. Can’t remember a worse one since.
Was that the Handysides/ Ireland at the back team, did come into my thoughts though I cant compare to todays lot.
Can’t say it’s the worst squad but it’s definitely the laziest, most unfit and under motivated. Plus the most unbalanced squad without a doubt.
If I went through the squad there's probably about 6 players out of 20 odd I'd keep, that's how bad it is, we could (hypothetically speaking) get rid of 15 players and never miss them
So unbalanced and lacking any fluidity. It's like eleven strangers meeting for a kick around every match with no idea how improve.
