Must watch - Threads

I’m setting my recorder for this tonight along with a documentary on Porton Down. I must be one of very few who have never seen Threads so it’s time I put that right.

Regarding Porton Down, I’m just wondering how much of the truth that they show. I was stationed at Old Sarum 1975-79, only a couple of miles from Porton, and I had no real idea what was going on there. They were always advertising for volunteers to spend two weeks there for various “experiments”. It was a fortnight off work and you were paid for whatever you agreed to be injected with. RAF pay was quite poor in those days and I was tempted. Luckily I didn’t volunteer. God knows what chemicals would have been sloshing around my system!

 

Just finished watching threads 40 years after I last watched it..Given the current climate in the world a few world leaders should be made to watch that film starting with mad Vlad in Moscow nobody wins a nuclear conflict nobody.

 

Putin, Jong-Un, Starmer, Kamala, Trump, Zardari, Modi, Jinping, Netanyatu, Khameni & any other large power should all get round the table and do it together.
