Didn't realise he was local ish was watching name was on the trophy was it the 16th foot from gong in the water pulled his second to between the pin and the water again. Later in his interview admitted he pulled his second and said he hit the worst putt he ever made, came across as a honest and decent lad.
I’ve a couple of friends who are members at Woodthorpe and they give me updates on his performances over the last couple of years. He has made steady progress in large tournaments and is still young enough to make it big time.
I played with him once when I was a member at Woodthorpe. Great ball striker just needed to sort his putting out which he looks to have done.
I don't think the comment was disingenuous. Or disrespectful. I reckon he meant joe public. It's only when an individual makes a headline people in general take note. As in any form of sport.
