No reason, you're just the consequence of an unfathomably unlikely series of events.

Well, Mummy Kirky and Daddy Kirky loved each other very much. And one night they got too drunk and the result nine months later was a bouncing little Kirky boy...

But if you want the sciency answer, after the Big Bang sub-atomic particles (leptons) started to cool and coalesce into relatively larger bundles of matter - eventually forming protons and neutrons - which then formed into atoms (Hydrogen, then Helium). These started to bond with other atoms into chemicals and gravity started to condense atoms into regions of space until they hit enough density and pressure to start nuclear fusion and bigger atoms were created by nuclear fusion in the new stars.

In regions of higher particle density, gravity helped these atoms condensed into planets, comets and the like, and eventually complex chemical reactions took place which formed single-celled organisms. This process took billions of years. The single celled organisms then became more complex - bacteria, viruses - before becoming plant and animal life like we know it.

These plants and animals adapted and evolved due to changes in surroundings and those with the strongest mutations became dominant and others died off. And over millions of years, tiny mammals became apes, and some became early humans.

Or, some old white dude clicked his fingers and put his feet up on the seventh day and it was all sorted.

I always wonder "what is the point of space exploration?" All that money, for what, ni-cad batteries.

Some scientists have said that the chances of any human being born are 1:400 trillion.

My main question is ... if the scientists insist that the big bang was the start of everything what caused the big bang ?

I have often thought about this over my decades on this planet & always end up with the same conclusion - I haven't got a clue !!!
But this i think sums it up :

We have no idea what caused the big bang. Some people theorize it was a white hole, some think it was God, some think it’s a natural occurrence of an infinite universe. But where did the infinite universe come from / start.

You can speculate all you want. And people can tell you whatever theory you have is wrong. But really, no one knows.

A circle may not have an end, but it does have a beginning

Yes I and Mr Cox's think that too, he's always says we don't really know. I just find so incredible that I'm part of it.

I dont think we'll ever know. The point still remains, where did the God who created it all, or where did that first piece of matter come from? Or maybe we're just asking the wrong question?
Science is always being disproved though, as our understanding grows.
