A decent looking draw too so fingers crossed they get into the second round

Two clubs local to me - Rushall Olympic and Hednesford Town won their replays. I was hoping we'd draw one of them for a 'home' game for me!

Hednesford 8th tier v Gainsborough 7th tier. It's what the fa cup is all about. One will be in the 2nd round proper.
And then the chance of one of the big clubs if they get through that.

If I recall correctly, Gainsborough Trinity away was Daniel Stendel's first game in charge. Was the day England played Sweden in the World Cup in 2018. Reds won 2-0 as I recall, I was sat next to the Grandma of our full-back George Williams who was very proud of him. Quite a warm day. Was impressed with Stendel's intensity: kept shouting at "Hedgie" (Ryan Hedges) about what to do. Can't remember hoe England got on, but, that's me

back in 1970 when I was studying accountancy at Barnsley Tech. one of the lads studying with me played for Gainsborough. They were in the Northern Premier League then, when that was the 5th tier along with the Southern League.

England beat Sweden 2-0 that day. Took my son to diggerland and everything was dry and dusty as hell with how hot it was!! Remember checking my phone for reds team news, updates etc.

Ended up not watching England, spent most of the match in the in-laws paddling pool cooling down instead!
