But win Tuesday night and at Shrewsbury next week and we're very much back in the mix. Tbf if we want to be seriously pushing then winning those two winnable games is a must.. well done to all today.
Feet firmly on the ground. Great win today and hopefully a basis to start a good run. Now need to start winning at home. Hopefully on Tuesday….
Not having that. We aren’t Brazil but we played well today and Blackpool were in it all game. Were we slightly lucky with the result? Possibly. But we were the better team for 60 minutes plus.
Not getting ahead of myself but the league is so tight, a few wins in a row makes the world of difference. There were some good signs today. I thought DKD had his best game for us since his debut. I also thought Gent worked well with him down the left. Then Connell and Russell won the midfield battle today for the most part. If we can get the home form somewhere near the away form, we’ll do well this season. Let’s hope we can start that on Tuesday night.
I think there were two good teams on the park today & a very good game of football. We kept the fight up to the end. Maybe it was gonna end 1-1, but we came out with intention & got that little bit of luck, if you play on the front foot. I'm not getting carried away, as we've struggled at home & for constancy generally, but today was a really good performance. Credit to the gaffer & the players today.
Thought we were the better side in the first half, ok for the first 10mins of the second half then for 20/25 mins went back to to trying defend a lead. The goal came in that period and I feared the worse but to be fair they dug in and the last 10 or so we did ok,on balance just about deserved the win.
The home fans really got behind them for a good part of that second half and I thought we might crumble, but we didn’t. A really good performance and end to end football from both teams.
I wouldn’t have dignified that post with a reply. Either he is fishing or has no idea what he is talking about
We could play like prime Barcelona in 2010 and faults would be picked by some on here mate Edit. If we criticise when playing badly, we should praise when doing well
Well pleased for Jon Russell ,made a big impact today . Hope he can kick on from today and figure in future games.
Yeah exactly, but it seems like these people always want to try and have that argument both ways. Whether the Intl break and/or the unfortunate news about Steve Bruce, has cost them, that's another matter. But it sounds like we've gone there with a better attitude to try and play, and try to win!. And because of that positive attitude, we've gone and snatched it in stoppage time.
A win is a win, and the overall performance was a huge improvement on the previous one at T’Udders. Would I like us to be carving out more chances? Of course, but all in all we didn’t fold after we conceded, and went on the offensive. The vibe I get from their forum is that we are a decent team, physical and fit.
