Abit silly really when there's only 2 male or female. Identity as what you want but they Will only ever be 2 genders.

If you are talking about physical sex rather than gender, there are at least 9 different identified phenotype sexes based on chromosomes alone. - X0 (Turner Syndrome), XX (female), XX (male - De La Chappelle syndrome), XY (male), XY (Female - Swyer Syndrome), XXY (Klinefelter syndrome), XXXY and XXXXY. With over 8 billion people, it would not be surprising if there were more that have yet to be identified or are very, very rare. Only 1 woman has ever been identified with XYY for example.

That before you get to conditions like Persistent Mullerian Duct syndrome (PMDS), where men are born with internal female organs. Or the equivalent where women are born with undescended testes. Although some of these are linked with the rarer chromosomal abnormalities. According to various sources, 1-2% of the population have a "non-standard" physical sex.

Personally I have no issue with the main groups, trans etc,point was that once you start officially recognising some of these ridiculous small definition groups you are potentially causing a clerical HR and logistical minefield for employers. Thing is there’s always somebody looking for an angle to make money or mischief , what if they all decide that they have slightly different needs to the main groups?

 

Quite the opposite. Businesses who have even a shred of decency about them (still sadly not enough) are keen to engage with diverse thinking and a more diverse workforce. Categorising such groups allows better opportunity for representation of a whole workforce in focus groups, project teams and tweaking communication styles and tones.

What you might find ridiculous, a person in one of those groups may just find that's who they are, that they aren't completely alone and a glimmer of an opportunity to be understood and belong.

Before the lefty liberals say why does it bother you ? It does for several reasons I have children and grandchildren being brought into this faux world where anything goes, I now identify as Dephon Chansiri btw.
When I’m out in restaurants and mostly coffee shops i shouldn’t be made uncomfortable thinking I’m misgendering someone with blue/pink hair just because it says Them on their name badge, I will only ever accept there are Male/Female and Trans the rest I don’t recognise nor should I be forced to!

Maybe there should just be a gap for any other info that is for how you feel.about yourself or how you identify.

 

Makes about as much sense as the 9 sexes
