WTAF massive queue to get in , massive queue at snack bar with no lights, call be a conspiracy theorist but the kettle must have tripped the turnstile scanner!
Absolutely pathetic not many more in than a normal game either

I got my free drink. Was stood in the queue about 5 minutes maybe. Looked a bit frantic behind the counter but not so much in the queues.

Crowd was 12,441 (I think) and if you compare that to the crowd for the last Tuesday night home game, I think it will be quite a decent chunk higher to be honest.

There was no massive queue in ESL when I got there. There was always going to be massive queues for the food with that offer in place. Not the club’s fault more didn’t take up free ticket offer

The free drink offer might as well not have happened if they aren't going to do it properly.

Go through the turnstile to be told here's a voucher for a pre game hot drink, to find out later you could get one at half time.

Not that it matters when the queue before the game and half time is reaching the exit gate.

A few thousand people in a stand offered a freebie for them to have the same amount of staff on as they do when it's the usual overcharged prices.

Would it have been so hard to have a few pop up drink vendors in the concourses with warm drinks ready to hand straight out? They wouldn't have gone cold.

Queued up in Ponty for 50 minutes for free drinks and missed first 12 minutes of game , good effort from the club but don’t think I’d bother again.

Think they handled it well to be honest. Went down to concourse (ESL) at half time, heard announcement that you could still get the free drink from express lane in middle so headed there. Queue took less than 5 minutes and they had drinks ready to hand out immediately with more staff preparing them at the back.

Seemed a shambles in the Ponty but admittedly there’s less room. Got to ground just before 7.30 but took 10 minutes to get through turnstile and by then queue for the free drink was massive so never bothered.

Could it be that when something is on for free people turn up earlier?

Didn't bother with the free drink due to the queue in the Ponty, didn't want to miss the start of the game! Don't usually have a drink anyway so no big deal.

Pmsl. Even if 10k in ground. Most arrive in the 30 mins prior to game starting. 15mins half time. And folk moaning missing some of the game. Free doesnt mean you are obliged to get it.
Would have to supply at 4 per second to cover everyone. Get a grip.

Without trying to be funny, my observation there would be that if you know they’re giving away free hot drinks, doing everything else for half price, and had given away potentially thousands of free tickets to ST holders for friends and family; turning up to the ground fifteen minutes before kick off was a tad optimistic if you wanted to get in, get a drink and see kick off.

Looking at my screen as the teams came out it looked a bit like an EFL Trophy crowd so there must have been thousands under the stands trying to get their freebie. The game is all I go for so I wouldn’t have been in those queues had I travelled tonight

    This all day long.
Got there at 7 and queue was back to turnstiles so didn't bother with the drink. Seemed daft offering freebies and not doing summat diferrent. Opportunity wasted. These freebies never seem to work for me it seems. Like when they did the free non alc beers the bloke said they weren't free and wouldn't let me have one.

Could have set up a few tables in the concourse with like 50 hot chocolates, 50 coffees and 50 teas on it and they would have gone fast and not gone cold.

It would be like the western terrace at headingley where they have lots of 3 quarter pints ready so they only have to top them up a little when ordered to speed things up.

Christ, the entitlement. You're demanding they employ extra people and buy extra kiosks just so you don't have to queue 5 minutes for your FREE drink.

While not to moan for moanings sake and I appreciate the gesture from the club I got my free drink a couple of minutes before kick off from the left side east stand upper kiosk and it was pretty much stone cold water used in it. Completely undrinkable and just a waste of stock.
