Aside from the coaching staff, back office, Academy, ground and maintenance staff there will be a lot of casual matchday staff Id have thought? Seem to think i heard the figure of about 400 total staff mentioned before

There would be uproar if they tried to do this though as much as I agree with you.
Another poster talks about the ‘Lincoln’ model.
This model includes the owners injecting cash yearly and this year have ‘recruited’ a significant investor to help with this.
This is despite them either paying nothing or next to nothing in transfers every year.
They also recruit Managers unheard of (although generally have worked out for them) and their use of loans seem to regularly work out but imagine the outcry if we announced we aren’t spending any money and going to recruit a U21 manager to run the first team.

Considering the previous owners errors I feel the new board deserve our support.
Since they took over we've achieved 2 playoff campaigns which I know some see as failure but not me.
While the board are still putting money in they are also keeping us relatively competitive on the field.Plans to address off field issues like fanzones are well under way .2 seasons aren't really enough to overturn previous errors and make us debt free over night.Success takes time and I think most folks see that but I bet you a penny if we don't go up this year it will be seen as a failure by some and the same people will want the manager sacking. Thus the merry-go-round continues.
Lets build some solid foundations both on and off the field and support the club as it develops.

Yeah, I get that. Only, to me, I think Neerav at least looks like a genuine guy who is doing it because he's grown to love the club. I might be wrong but that's my gut instinct. I'll be grateful to whoever keeps my club afloat. It's not hard to just be grateful and say thank you. Sure, they've made some errors and get some pelters, but I think they're doing the best they can. I can't speak for the others, but Neerav to me seems like a nice bloke. When I see" Neerav out" stickers at games, I find it a bit embarrassing and a bit entitled. Just my thoughts, maybe I'm too soft.

I don't think it's a coincidence that if you cross reference this thread with the 'occupations' thread, those who are most sceptical of strategy and have offered the most (constructively) critical appraisal of the direction of travel are those who have held the most senior posts in other businesses.

I’m sure he’s a lovely bloke, and would never associate myself with “Neerav Out” type cr*p.

Any idea how much the academy is costing these days mate.. Remember someone saying (PC maybe) that it was 1 million a season. But that was a fair while ago and it seems to have grown a bit over the last few years.

I heard it at the Fan engagement. So it was pretty much common knowledge at the time.

Cos it doesn't. Not by a country mile. Less than 10% of the council. But even allowing for sarcasm.
I'd reckon at least 80% are casual matchday. Staff Employed by a third party. (Security etc) Via the club.
I can't recollect if it was said how much is paid in vat, other taxes and other costs like policing. Rent etc.
I sincerely hope Fanatics are got rid of once the contract runs out. It'd be interesting to know if it's been a benefit to outsource merchandise. I'd be honestly shocked if so.
I used to visit the club shop everytime I popped down for tickets. Spend a few quid. Not now. It may be the extremely odd occasion after visiting the box office.

The accounts helpfully split staff out by Footballing activities (139), Administration and Commercial (23) and Matchday 221.

Would footballing activities include womens team ( players and staff) mate. Cos 139 is hard to comprehend if just the mens. Which I didn't account for as a guess. ?.
Do women get renumerations. Eg appearance monies etc. ?

I doubt it includes women as these accounts are to 2023 and the number for 2022 is very similar.

I may be wrong but I didn’t think the women’s team were professional.

Would have thought with Academy staff, Medical staff, Reserve team staff and players and first team it soon adds up, if it includes all them.

No, unfortunately people would rather ask why the players are wearing suits on matchday. Honestly, one of the most stupid and pointless questions I've ever heard. Also, I found it stunning that nobody asked about Conor Hourihane.

Many players even at 7th 8th tiers in mens football recieve renumerations which I guess are in effect part time amateurs/employees not professionals.?
Footballing staff even if we said 65 men players/Academy that would mean 65 + others. ?
On who's who I count 31 first team and academy staff.

Hasn't the Conor Hourianne one already been answered by Clarke. ?.

If it has then I've missed it. I really think that question needs to be directed at the director of football. It was clearly a marketing strategy to sell season tickets. They knew he wasn't going to play.
