Quality time with the fam. Managed to find somewhere with no other guests this week, so we got the gaff to ourselves Just a couple of weeks ago, this city had its worst floods in 50 years. The tide marks are around 5 foot in some places. We nearly didn’t come for obvious reasons, but decided to risk it. Reception we’ve had from everyone here has been phenomenal. The resilience they have shown is just unreal. Thai people are just amazing. Anyway, got Chang to sup at the night market. I’ll be tuning in at 3… All the love, M, H & B x
We had 3 weeks in Thailand in August, with a week in Chang Mai (my missus taught English there for a while after Uni). Changmai United play in the second tier of Thai football in a stadium 100 times too big for them, its worth a ride in a tuktuk if theyre at home while you're there.
What's the standard like? I went to an absolutely rancid "professional" match in the USA many years ago. Proper, proper gash.
Ar tell me about it, went to Thailand, pulled 3 stunning women, thought I'd won the Lottery. got back t room they dropped their skirts, 6 matching balls
Hello from Genoa. It was prettty wet earlier so have retired to the spa on the ship. Jacuzzi, sauna and then snow??? Rome tomorrow. Hadnt been for years and now will have been twice in a fortnight
My wife taught English in Korea after Uni (she did a marine biology degree). I wouldn’t mind but she doesn’t speak a word of Korean. Seems quite inefficient
Yes but it seems like it would make for quite a weird lesson BarnsleyReds wife: hello Kids (in Korean): what does that mean miss? BarnsleyReds wife: huh? Not a clue what you're saying, sorry.
That was my thinking too but apparently it worked well… I guess it’s the same as when we’re first learning English ourselves, learning it by holding objects or looking at pictures rather than translating it as we do here when learning other languages
