Probably one of the best away records in the country over last three seasons ...

Near a tree by a river there's a hole in the ground

That’s a tough one. Let me think?
Away from home. Generally play in front of a few hundred highly enthusiastic Barnsley fans cheering them on for much of game

At home. Generally play in front of thousands of largely moaning, groaning whinging Barnsley fans ready to pounce on the slightest mistake

Nope. It’s a tough one that. Can’t quite put my finger on it.

We need to get a rousing chorus of "Red Army" going in the Ponty end, I've tried but it never gets going.

One genuine reason is that Sam Cosgrove has played in every one of our home games but has been dropped for 3 away games in which we have a 100% win record.

Of course there are many other reasons such as the way the opposition sets up at home compared to away which generally favours us as a team due to us being poor at breaking a team down but quite good at exploiting gaps when a team attacks.

Surely that can't be the case. If it was you'd think we'd have had a really great record when all the stadiums were closed for Covid.

    Oh.

3 of our away wins have been at Crawley, Burton and Shrewsbury, who have already lost 27 games between them. Very poor teams.

I thought the question was addressed to our current team / form, not that of four years ago.
    Silly me

Were our fans singing that Wednesday abominatuon “We’re on our way” yesterday?
If so it has to stop.

The atmosphere at Oakwell is **** because the team are shot. Given our home record in 2024 they get off lightly.

Getting the crowd behind you should be a piece of cake. You just need to play entertaining, attacking, fast-paced football and get the ball whipped into the box as often as possible. Start as you mean to go on, get on the front foot from the off, and give the supporters a reason to get off their backsides.

It's just football. It doesn't need redesigning or burdening with statistics.

Yeah but when players are low on confidence and scared to death of having the ball, it rushes things. Players hide. Real Madrid players hide so Barnsley players will . There's no need to jeer and piss and moan after 30 seconds of football
