Less than a week to go and sadly I think a Trump win is looking increasingly likely, the Harris campaign seems to have lost its initial momentum.

    I really hope I'm wrong.

Looking at the latest poll for the 9 swing states, 3 are even, 3 have trump up less then 3 points and 1 has Harris up less then 1 point - so all within the margin of error for the poll. Arizona has trump up 6 and Minnesota has Harris up 7 - so those two are probably locked in. Too tight to call overall.

The accuracy of the polls is another question in itself. I mean how many people actually answer the phone to an unknown number these days? - especially those at work.

So, you are more likely to get responses from those who are at home and still answer their phones, so the retired, older demographics who favour Trump.

Although that could be copium on my part, but I'm expected Harris to comfortably win the popular vote. And anything less than a comfortable Harris electoral college win will see shenanigans - both legal and illegal to try and take the election. Its not like the republicans have form (2000/2020).

Both Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart think Harris wins - Rory strongly so. Regrettably I think they're wrong. I just can't see her prevailing via the EC.

Harris will get laughed at on an international level and could very well lead us to WW3 being so inept. So bizarrely, Trump I think is actually a safer bet on the bigger stage.

Absolutely unbelievable a country of that size ends up with these 2 as the creme of the crop.

Was hoping from the initial runners, Haley might have succeeded, instead is a difficult choice for people with two crap choices.

Why would it be Harris who gets laughed at and not the incontinent narcissist in cognitive decline?

The betting markets have been massively inflated for Trump this year due to Elon Musk pushing it as proof that trump is going to win which caused it to increase even more thanks to his moronic followers.

This election could very easily go either way

You've gotta be pretty rubbish to lose to him like she will be doing.

A lot of Americans are unhappy with emigration and how much cash Ukraine keep being sent and so see Trump as the answer.

Why would they be unhappy about people leaving America?

The idea that Harris is good in a good v bad is ludicrous. Her, Biden & the people running the Democrats are evil people that belong in The Hague for what they’re continuing to support & back in Palestine.

It’s an awful choice they’ve got that’s for sure & in an ideal world neither would win.

Polls are generally delivered through online panels that are opted in and very detailed historical individual data can be measured against. Obviously people can lie, though speeders and flytickers are easily spotted and stripped out. There are always variances but they tend to be surprisingly accurate from a relatively small base populace.

No I'm saying both are terrible & I can’t believe it’s been suggested by many that it’s some kind of good v bad type scenario

In much the same way the Democrats do as Netanyahu tells them to.

I really hope I'm wrong, but the moment I saw it was Trump vs a Black female, I feared the worst.

A Trump second term would make the first look like middle of the road light entertainment which it most certainly wasn't. America has far too many stupid and or racist people, then when you see people from minority and female cohorts supporting him, it beggars believe.

I don't want to consider the damage... Just hope the racist rapist cognitively declining misogynistic lying criminal isn't elected and the least worst option somehow pulls out a win
