Peter Rajczi, wasn't the worst player but not really Championship level. Lovel the Hungarian revolution
Going back years Bob Earnshaw was loved by everyone but his football was something else, the older people on here must remember the crowd shouting "Open them gates" every time he started running down the wing.
Might have been the work ethic and the 70 goal contributions. My favourite player as a lad growing up.
Can’t think of a bad player that I loved. Not sure that’s possible. A player I liked who others really didn’t? Mike Sheron.
Steve Cooper was very limited but worked his balls off and I loved him. RIP to an absolute diamond geezer. He and I used to talk about drums from his first day the club to the day he left. An absolutely bonkers but brilliant fella.
I remember the incident, but for some reason, at that time, I could not watch if we were taking a penalty, so I only know the outcome. He missed.
Sacrilege but probably some truth in it. It took spud quite a while to become a regular in the first team.
I’d have to go for Brendan o’Connell though I think he was more an average player that I loved to bits than a bad one.
